Australian Lamb is All Free Range

On a Nutritional Balancing Program, we recommend eating red meat, twice a week, mainly lamb, due to its many different health benefits.

Since lamb is the number one choice, I am often asked the question,  as to what lamb should I buy at the grocery store?

I buy local lamb when in season however most of the time I buy Australian Lamb because I trust it and here is why:

  1. Australia is one of the safest countries for meat production. We are known globally for having extremely safe beef and lamb. This is because we have strict policies in place, but also due to the fact we’re an isolated continent, which means we have a natural barrier to animal diseases.
  2. All our beef is raised on pasture, even if it is grain-finished. That means all cattle, whether grass or grain-finished, will spend the majority of their lives roaming the paddocks.
  3. All our lamb is pasture-fed and finished. Luckily, there is absolutely no lot feeding of sheep undertaken in Australia.
  4. We do not feed our beef or lamb corn. This was surprising! Like we’ve said before, we always opt for grass-fed and finished beef, but it’s worth knowing even the grain-finished beef in Australia are fed Australian sorghum, barley and wheat in the last 50-120 days of their lives. That’s a far cry from the genetically modified corn fed to cattle in other countries.
  5. All our beef and lamb is free range. Which is pretty spectacular and makes Australian beef and lamb a selling point to countries around the world. It’s more humane for the animals and results in better quality meat.
  6. Nearly 50 per cent of Australian land is used for cattle and sheep farming. This is because much of our land is unsuitable for crops. That means farming cattle and sheep is the most efficient way for us to produce protein with a high nutrient value.
  7. No part of the animal is wasted. Although we only typically consume the classic cuts of meat, all trimmings go into sausages or dog food, the hide is used in furniture and even beef testicles and penis are used (exports are at a record high… yes, actually).
You can find lamb at your grocery store, even at Costco.

Hope this helps you in making the decision of eating the best red meat for your health.

Please note that there is only one nutritional balancing science, developed by Dr. Paul Eck. All other claims made by other practitioners, not approved by Dr. Lawrence Wilson on his site, have altered Dr. Eck's principles and as such have no in depth understanding of the science, which is very unfortunate.

Further, altering even one aspect of a nutritional balancing program often ruins it rather completely.  This could be substituting different products that you like better, skipping an aspect of the diet or the supplements, or implementing other diets, such as GAPS OR PALEO, OR something else that people do all the time, such for example using other forms of meditation, other than what is recommended by Dr. Wilson.  In other words, using other products or diets, or meditation, conflicts with the entire program and it seriously reduces its effectiveness. Thus, nutritional balancing science is completely integrated, meaning that the sciences are used together in very unique way and should not be altered by yourself or other practitioners.
