RICE POISONED BY ARSENIC

Data from the Food and Drug Administration has found arsenic levels in rice and rice products. And the FDA found another surprising source of arsenic: beer, which sometimes uses rice as an ingredient. New scientific studies add to the evidence that long-term dietary exposure to arsenic poses a health risk, although the FDA "found in the samples it evaluated were too low to cause any immediate or short-term adverse health effects".
Note that the FDA does not address the long term health effects of ingesting arsenic however arsenic is a powerful nerve and enzyme poison. It is associated with hundreds of symptoms, beginning with what may be called malaise, fatigue, vague aches and pains, weakness, dizziness and many neurological symptoms. It can also cause blood disorders such as anemias, blood sugar disorders, and is implicated in several forms of cancer.
NAPOLEON BONAPARTE'S HAIR SAMPLE / ARSENIC
It was suggested that Napoleon Bonaparte was poisoned by arsenic. However new study, compared the arsenic levels in hair samples (yes! hair samples are most accurate of test used by scientists at all times) taken from Bonaparte at various stages in his life with levels in hairs from Napoleon's son (the King of Rome), Empress Josephine and 10 living persons and found that the level of arsenic in the hair samples from 200 years ago to be 100 times greater than the average level detected in samples from persons living today.
In other words, at the beginning of the 19th century, people evidently ingested arsenic that was present in the environment in quantities that are currently considered dangerous. Basically Bonaparte was slowly poisoned by arsenic and died at the age of 51.
DR. LAWRENCE WILSON'S NEW RECOMMENDATIONS
As recent as October 24, 2014, Dr. Lawrence Wilson is advising his readers that, although brown rice in particular, is one of the earth’s finest foods, he no longer recommends it for all clients' on the nutritional balancing program, due to reports indicating that it has been poisoned with arsenic. This applies to all varieties of rice, including wild rice, and even sprouted rice and any products made of rice, such as rice cakes, etc.
WHY HAS THIS OCCURRED?
According to Dr. Wilson, rice seems to have an affinity for arsenic. This means that rice tends to absorb more arsenic than some other plants. Beyond this, I do not know exactly why this has occurred, as arsenic is not commonly applied to rice plants. However, several scientific sources have reported the problem, especially in rice grown in China. It seems to affect all rice, however.
DOES THIS AFFECT ORGANICALLY GROWN RICE?
The unfortunate answer is yes. Please avoid this product as well, at least for now.
WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS OF ARSENIC POISONING FROM EATING RICE?
It is a mild arsenic toxicity. You may not notice many symptoms. However, symptoms can include fatigue, malaise, digestive upset or other rather vague symptoms. Arsenic toxicity will also delay or even stop mental development that is discussed in other articles on this website.
For more details about arsenic toxicity, please read Arsenic on Dr. Wilson's site.
CAN ONE TASTE OR SMELL THE ARSENIC-CONTAMINATED RICE?
NO. One of the problems with arsenic poisoning is that arsenic is tasteless and odorless. So most people cannot tell if their rice is toxic. Unfortunately, most all rice is contaminated at this time.
CAN ONE WASH OFF THE ARSENIC BY SOAKING THE RICE OR DOING ANYTHING ELSE TO THE RICE?
No, not according to Dr, Wilson. The arsenic is taken up by the rice plant and is inside the grain. White rice as well as brown rice are contaminated.
CAN I EAT RICE ONCE A WEEK?
That is better than eating it daily, as millions of people do around the world. However, Dr. Wilson suggest avoiding it completely until the problem is fixed.
WHAT CAN I DO IF I HAVE BEEN EATING A LOT OF RICE FOR YEARS?
The only way that we know of to remove arsenic deeply from the body is with a complete nutritional balancing program. This will remove arsenic in all cases, so far. It can take a year or more, however, so patience is necessary.
For the purpose of causing ourselves less stress, I (Josephine) believe that, exercising caution is always the rule, but also surrendering to a power greater than ourselves is a must, as there are many things that are out of our control. We know that even organic farmers feed their animals soy and grains, and we have no way of knowing, other than taking their word, that the animals are fed accordingly to our standard.
